Barry Rubin Welcome to the 36th year of the Independent Time and Labor Management Association. During our rich history your ITLMA has created a number of programs designed to benefit our members and the workforce asset management industry as a whole. Today our most exciting and forward thinking program has come to fruition. The Workforce Educational Organization is fully operational and has begun issuing certification for qualified workforce professionals.

Industry professionals need a place to go to understand the key principles and standards of performance, management practices and technology options. Researchers and thought leaders need to coordinate their work. The WEO and the WEO Pro Certification pulled all of the materials and parties together and along with our sponsors have created this historic moment.

As you move forward in this New Year I urge you to consider certification as part of your own professional resolutions. I also encourage you to get involved with your ITLMA and WEO. The strength of your association is exclusively determined by the level of involvement of its members. With that in mind, I invite you to call or email me to share your thoughts, ideas, and feedback you might have to improve our association. Better yet, consider a becoming a committee member, share your expertise on an advisory panel or become a candidate to join our esteemed Board of Directors.

I am confident that we're on track to have unprecedented success in 2014 and beyond.

I look forward to seeing the tangible outcomes of our investments and enjoying this accomplishment with each of you when we meet in Minneapolis May 13-17, 2014 for our Annual Conference, co-located with the American Payroll Association Congress at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

We have some very exciting news to share! This year, the Independent Time and Labor Management Association (ITLMA) will be hosting a PechaKucha evening during our ITLMA conference and expo in Grapevine on Tuesday, May 7th.

Now, I'm sure you must be asking yourself, "What the heck is PechaKucha?" PechaKucha 20x20 is a simple presentation format where speakers show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and presenters talk along to the images. This format, which keeps presentations concise and fast-paced, empowers multiple-speaker to participate.

Now you must be thinking "oh, so that's like a local TED!" A very nice complement, but not quite right. TED is brilliant, but very different to PechaKucha. TED is top down, PechaKucha is bottom up!

Presenters will be providing unique presentations specific to the Time and Labor Management industry. All ITLMA registered attendees are welcome to attend our PechaKucha evening. Cocktails will be served, and the first drink is on us!
