Michael HooverDear Friends and Colleagues:

Happy Holidays from your Independent Time and Labor Management Association!

As we try to strike that perfect balance between spending quality time with friends and family during the holidays and making that final year-end push, we have precious little time to think about anything but getting to the end of the year in one piece.

But if you make one New Years resolution for 2015, I encourage you to make an investment in your career by becoming WEO certified. Other than ability, experience and hard work, what does it take to be promoted today? Professionals who acquire industry-recognized certifications enhance their expertise in a number of diverse, critical areas.

WEO certification will increase the understanding, utilization and impact of time and labor management systems by providing education, timekeeping and time & labor management technology certification and professional recognition, research and collaboration so that employer and workers can benefit and improve operationally, strategically and financially.

For long-term job satisfaction, you'll need more than monetary rewards alone, however. Flexing your intellectual muscles by keeping current on industry trends is equally valuable. Enhancing your expertise by obtaining an advanced certification will require hard work, but it also will bring tremendous value to your career.

Visit www.weo-cert.org to register today!

On behalf of my family, and your colleagues on the ITLMA Board, please accept our warmest of wishes for the upcoming holiday season and a New Year filled with prosperity and success!

Barry Rubin Welcome to the 36th year of the Independent Time and Labor Management Association. During our rich history your ITLMA has created a number of programs designed to benefit our members and the workforce asset management industry as a whole. Today our most exciting and forward thinking program has come to fruition. The Workforce Educational Organization is fully operational and has begun issuing certification for qualified workforce professionals.

Industry professionals need a place to go to understand the key principles and standards of performance, management practices and technology options. Researchers and thought leaders need to coordinate their work. The WEO and the WEO Pro Certification pulled all of the materials and parties together and along with our sponsors have created this historic moment.

As you move forward in this New Year I urge you to consider certification as part of your own professional resolutions. I also encourage you to get involved with your ITLMA and WEO. The strength of your association is exclusively determined by the level of involvement of its members. With that in mind, I invite you to call or email me to share your thoughts, ideas, and feedback you might have to improve our association. Better yet, consider a becoming a committee member, share your expertise on an advisory panel or become a candidate to join our esteemed Board of Directors.

I am confident that we're on track to have unprecedented success in 2014 and beyond.

I look forward to seeing the tangible outcomes of our investments and enjoying this accomplishment with each of you when we meet in Minneapolis May 13-17, 2014 for our Annual Conference, co-located with the American Payroll Association Congress at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

This annual event is brought to you by the Independent Time and Labor Management Association and the Workforce Educational Organization, collocated with the American Payroll Association. This extraordinary partnership offers you the best of both worlds with a first-hand, in-depth educational and networking experience, followed by a gigantic expo hall experience exceeding 2000 attendees.

Minneapolis consistently ranks as one of the United States' top cities. Minneapolis's thriving art scene, outdoor culture and friendly atmosphere make this Midwest metropolis a perfect place as host city for our conference. Minneapolis is served by the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, with direct flights from almost every major city in the United States. The city's Light Rail train system is a convenient way to get from the airport to downtown and once there our APA-ITLMA transit system will get you around the city and back and forth to the convention center fast and free of charge from all of our official housing bureau properties allowing you to maximize your learning, networking and leisure time spent at conference.

It's a privilege to serve as your President. I value the confidence placed in me and our Board of Directors. On behalf of all of us, best wishes for a healthy and successful 2014.

See you in Minneapolis.
